Have you ever heard of the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Berlin Wall? Have you wanted to travel to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa? Would you like to see a bullfight--for real? Maybe golf in a foreign country? Let's take a trip to the most interesting place in the world! You are a travel agent for one of the countries above. You will give information to persuade others that they should travel to your country. What is your country like? What should they go see? What kind of money do they need? How can they travel? You will make a Power Point presentation that will include the following cards: Map, Economy, Tourist Information, Culture, Government, and Misc. There is an example for each card below. When done, you will present your country to the class.
Day 1- Get a check list. Surf the countries above and decide the one which interests you the most. You can use the sites below to get your information. Suggestions are on the cards to get you started.Day 2 - Make a Map card. Include size(sq. miles), weather, and climate.Day 3 - Make a Economy card. Include currency(money), major industry, imports/exports. Day 4 - Make a Government card. Include flag, type of government, head of government(premier, king/queen, prime minister). Day 5 - Make a Tourist card. Include ways to travel(bus, train, car), sites of interest, festivals of holidays. Day 6 - Make a Culture card. Include food, religion, recreation, major language, clothing Day 7 - Make Misc. card. Include a brief history. and famous citizen. Day 8 - Add more information to your cards. Day 9 - Add pictures(that do not have a copyright) to your cards. Day 10 - Revise cards. Some presentations-if ready. Day 11-14 - Presentations by drawings.
