Major Battles

There was 13 major battles in the Persian Gulf War, but I will describe 5 of them.

Battle of Al Busayyah was another tank battle fought between the U.S. and Iraqi forces. It was fought on Feburary 26, 1991.It was located at and Iraqi town named Al Busayyah, hence the name.

Battle of 73 Easting was mainly just a tank battle between American-British amored forces and those of the Iraqi Republican Guard. It took place on 26, Feburary 1991, which was actually only several hours after the Battle of Al Busayyah.

Battle of Khafji was the first major ground battle. It was a 3-day battle being from the 29th of January to the !st of Feburary of 1991. This battle was the Coalition's air campaigns high point.

Battle of Phase Line Bullet was a battle that destroyed Tawakalna Iraqi Republican Guard Division. It was taken place on 26th of Feburary of 1991.

Highway of Death refers to the battle that was fought on a six-lane highway that lies between Kuwait and Iraq. While they were retreating the Iraqi military were attacked on it by American Aircraft and ground forces on Feburary 26-27 of 1991.
