Chamber Choir |
Chamber Choir is open to students grade 10 - 12 by audition only. Chamber Choir is a premiere curriculm choir at Atlantic High School and performs extensively at AHS, in the community and at state large group contest. Chamber Choir is comprised of students who desire an intense involvement with singing in many genres. The class meets on "B" days during the school year during 4th period. Auditions are held each spring. |
Concert Choir |
Concert Choir is open to students grade 9 - 11 by audition only. Concert Choir is the prep curriculum choir at Atlantic High School and performs extensively at AHS, in the community and at state large group contest. Concert Choir is comprised of students who desire an intense involvement with singing and an introduction to vocal development. The class meets on "B" days during the school year during 2nd period. Auditions will be held each spring. |
Treble Singers |
Treble Singers is open to all female students in grade 9. Treble Singers is the freshman women's choir designed to give those students an introduction to choral activities at the high school level. They perform extensively at AHS and in the community. Treble Singers is compirsed of students who desire an introduction to treble choral music and are ready to engage in the intensity that is needed in high school choral music. The class meets on "B" days during the school yeard during 6th period. |

Varsity |
Varisty is open to members of Chamber Choir grades 11 - 12 by audition only. Varsity is the premiere show choir at Atlantic High School and performs extensively at Atlantic, in the community and throughout Iowa. Varsity is comprised of students who desire an intense involvement with singing, dancing, and acting. The class meets on "A" days during the school year during 4th period with 1 evening rehearsal or day rehearsal on Saturday monthly. This class requires an annual fee of $50, which is used towards costuming, tour expenses, choreography and music arrangements. Additional cost occur with the purchase of ensemble t-shirts, undergarments, make-up, jewelry needed for our performances. Audtions are held each spring. |
Junior Varsity

JV is open to members of Concert Choir and Treble Singers by audtion only. JV is the prep show choir at Atlantic and designed to prepare show choir students for the upper level show choir experiences. This prep ensemble is comprised of students who desire an intense involvement with singing, dancing and acting. The class meets 2nd and 6th periods on "A" days, with morning rehearsals before school on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. This class requires an annual fee of $35, which is used towards costuming, tour expenses, choreography and music arrangements. Additional cost occur with the purchase of enselmble t-shirts, undergarments, make-up and jewelry needed for our performances. Audtions will be held each spring. |
