Physical Education
Required

Physical Education is required of all students, unless excused for medical reasons, and must be successfully completed each semester the student is in school. Students are required to furnish their own personal equipment. Activities covered will include a variety of both individual and team sports. Fitness evaluations will be administrered two times each year.

Weigh Training
Elective
1 Credit

Weight Training is designed for the student interested in improving stregnth, controlling weight, and learning about the physical structure of the body. The ideal lifting routine is four days a week. Students are encouraged to follow the rountine during after school hours if they desire a full lifting regimen. Students are welcome to take the class both semesters. Male and female, athlete and non-athlete are encouraged to enroll. The course will count as a physical education credit.

Health One (Physical Wellness)
Required (Classes of 2005-2006)

The major objective of this co-educational course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and understandings needed to prepare them to become more informed, responsible adults regarding health-related issues. The program of study will primarily center around: fitness, nutrition, body systems, growth & development and sexuality. Students are encouraged to enroll in Health 2 also.

Health Two (Mental/Emotional Wellness)
Elective
1 Credit

The major objeective of this co-educational course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and understandings needed to prepare them to become more informed, responsible adults regarding health-related issues. The program of study will primarily center around: mental health, disease, drugs and consumer/community issues. Students are encouraged to enroll in Health 1 prior to taking Health 2.
