Driver Education: This course is only offered in the summer, but students must register for it in the preceding year. Students having their sixteenth birthday between June 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009 are eligible for this course. The course will consist of 30 hours of classroom work and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving experience. The course is designed to help develop a proper attitude, operation skills, and legal requirements and responsibilities of driving a vehicle in today's society. There is a registration fee that is set by the board of education prior to the beginning of summer classes. This course will meet all the requirements of the Graduated Driver Licensing Program. This course does not count in your grade point average.
