Spanish 2
Prerequisite: Students who would like to take a second-year Spanish must
receive a C or higher in Spanish 1.
Spanish 2 focuses on improving proficiency in written and oral
communication, as well as in listening and reading comprehension. Beginning
with a review of Spanish 1 material, this course continues to build on
that foundation with contextual vocabulary development, an expansion of
verb tenses, and more grammatical structures. Cultural topics of the Hispanic
world will also be incorporated.
Students need to be aware of the increased
level of difficulty between the first two years and last two years of
the Spanish language sequence.
