What is the purpose of the Annual Progress Report (APR)?

The APR is a report to the Iowa Department of Education and to the Atlantic community. This report states achievement goals in reading, math, and science and reports district data concerning achievement in reading, math, and science.

Iowa Test of Basic Skills This is the district's primary achievement test in reading, math, and science in grades 2-8. It is a standardized normed reference test.
• ITED Iowa Test of Educational Development This is the district's primary achievement test in reading, math, and science in grades 9 and 11. It is a standardized normed reference test.
• NWEA Northwest Evaluation Association These tests are a secondary achievement test in reading and math in grades 3-6. They are a criterion normed reference test.
• ICam Iowa Collaborative Assessment Modules These are the multiple assessment in reading and math with a different format
• PLAN   ACT's instrument for academic planning
• CBM Curriculum Based Measurement  
• SES Social Economic Status Students eligible for free or reduced lunch.
• IEP Individualized Educational Plan Students on these plans receive support through various programs to improve academic performance.

• NPR National Percentile Rank A percentile score compares a student to a large group of students of similar age and grade.
