¥ The total dropout rate was 1.1% in grades 7-12 with no dropouts in grades 7 and 8. 

                  ¥ 12.5% of the dropouts were males, and 87.5% were female. 

                  ¥ 25% of the dropouts were IEP students. 

                  ¥ 100% of the dropouts were white, not of Hispanic origin.

 

2004 Postsecondary Education/Training

In the class of 2004, 82.9% (92 out of 111) of the seniors intend to pursue post-secondary education/training.

 

2004 Probable Postsecondary Success Grades 9-12

77.6% (66 out of 85) of the students, grades 9-12, who took ACT during 2003-2004 scored above the cut score of 20.

 

2004 Core Program Completion

Students who complete a rigorous program of required and elective courses in core areas generally score higher on college entrance exams.  A core program consists of four years of     English and three or more years each of mathematics, science, and social studies.

60.4% (67 out of 111) of the graduates completed a core program.

 

 

 

 

2003 Graduation Rate

The Atlantic High School Class of 2003 had a graduation rate of 97.06% (AYP). 

91.04% (AYP) of the students graduated with a diploma in 2002 compared to the state average of 89.4%

 

2002-2003 Average Daily Attendance

Student attendance is a valuable indicator of school success and success in the work place.  Effective schools have consistently high attendance rates.

The average K-8 attendance was 95.2 %. (02-03)
