How did the fourth grade students perform on the district assessments in mathematics?

¥On the CBMÕs the fourth graders improved their multiplication, division, and mixed problems from fall to spring.

 ¥The mean number correct in the spring of 2005 was 172 compared to the spring 2004 number correct of 143 (142.94).  This was an mean increase of  29.

How do the PLAN mathematics scores of Atlantic High School sophomores compare to the 10th grade students nationally?

¥ The PLAN test is given to all Atlantic High School sophomores each year in October.
¥ The 110 sophomores in 2004-2005 had a mean score of 18.2 which was above the national mean of 16.3.  The mean of 18.2 was an decrease from 19.3 the previous year.
¥ 87% of the 2004-2005 sophomores scored in upper three quartile nationally in mathematics.  This was a decrease from 93% the previous year.
¥ The males scored higher than the females.  The males mean score was 18.7 compared to the female mean score of 17.4.
