WHAT IS ELO?
The Extended Learning Program is a program designed to provide services to students who demonstrate exceptional or potential ability in academic and/or intellectual areas. These students require educational services and modifications beyond those provided in the regular education program. Programming for these students is based on individual needs for acceleration, differentiated academic opportunities, and enrichment.
HOW ARE STUDENTS INDENTIFIED?
Students need to score at or above the 90th percentile on ITBS for grades 3-6 and 95% or above for grades 7 & 8. Additional testing data includes CBM reading probes, DIBELS, Scholastic Guided Reading Placement, Basic Reading Inventory Cognitive Ability tests and NWEA.
Teacher recommendations are also considered when identifying students for the program.
