Seventh grade geography is a tour of the Eastern Hemisphere. Students become familiar with areas of the world most have never seen. The class attempts to simulate actual trips to these places. Before the class is able to depart on the tour they must first create the following travel arrangements:

• A personal passport which includes important travel information.
• Learn and understand important map and globe skills (helps avoid being lost during journey)
• Review the various geographical features of the earth.
• Review the make up of culture including how and why cultures vary.
• Remain current on important events happening in the world which may effect their travel plans.

Students are introduced to the various types of climates, vegetative regions and land forms they will encounter while on their tour (physical geography). The class creates travel guides listing the countries, cities and other critical information about the regions they wish to include on their tours (political geography). One of the most important parts of the tour is familiarizing ourselves with the different ways of life of the people we meet along the way (cultural geography). The class is divided up into the following courses of study:

• Geography Skills
• A Tour of Europe and Russia
• A Tour of Asia and the Pacific
• A Tour of Africa
