Washington Elementary was dedicated in 1959 as a Kindergarten through sixth grade building.  An addition was built in 1987 onto the northwest side of the building.  In 1996 Lincoln Elementary and Jackson Elementary were closed, and the students in Kindergarten through third grade now attend Washington Elementary.
